We are recruiting for a Private Client Solicitor, predominantly based at our Bredbury office. The successful candidate must be confident in all areas of private client law, and ideally have 3 years PQE. Full and part time positions considered.

Secretarial & Administration
- Legal Aid Billing Clerk/Costs Draftsman – Stockport
The successful applicant’s duties will include;
· Processing bills prepared by a costs draftsman/preparing bills
· Billing Legal Aid, Legal Help and private files
· Liaising with counsel and experts regarding disbursements
· Making applications and dealing with the Legal Aid Agency
· Liaising with partners, fee earners and support staff
Skills required;
· Previous legal aid billing experience
· Competent in the use of Microsoft Office
· Previous use of a legal case management system is preferred
· A good standard of education and strong verbal and written communication skills
· Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlines
· The ability to work on one’s own initiative
· The successful applicant will be required to work as part of a team

- Private Client Secretary – Stockport We are seeking an experienced private client secretary for our busy Stockport head office. Full and part time applications will be considered.The successful applicant’s duties will include;
- To provide secretarial and administrative support to fee earners, to include managing and maintaining files from opening to archiving.
- Handling telephone enquiries, making appointments and taking messages
- Producing letters and legal documents, including court forms and statements
- Dealing with probate applications and inheritance tax returns
- Audio typing
- Copying, scanning and faxing and other general administration work.
Skills required;
- Strong typing skills
- Some private client secretarial experience is preferable
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office
- A good standard of education and strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlines
- Experience of using a case management system is preferable
